A Note From Angela
Merry Christmas!
I hope everyone is in the Christmas Spirit. I am trying to get away from all the store bought
gifts and make candy this year for extended family.
Please don't say that you Dread Christmas this year because you have no money because money is
not the purpose of this holiday that is what the world wants you to think. I am trying to teach my children that it is about
Christ , about love. I have always taught them this but not as good as I should have but I am starting it this year and if
each of us start with our own homes we can make a difference even if it is in our own home. It would be a great gift to our
children to teach them how to celebrate Christmas for what it is instead of the materialistic side the world has turned it
into.
This year I will be making candy as gifts with my children and also putting together fruit baskets
for elderly family and neighbors. I have several Christmas story books to read this season to the children about the Christmas
story but I will also be reading it out of the Bible so that they will know it is true.
Why not play some Christmas Carols or even sing them yourself for family and friends.
I also have added Tshirts and Sweat Shirts to purchase for great, reasonably priced Christmas
Gifts and have a special for you. But hurry because it ends soon.
Buy 3 or more regular predone transfer shirts and get a 4th one of equal or lesser value
FRE E. Limit to one f ree shirt per customer. (shipping will apply to the fre e shirt) Ends Friday 12/2
midnight central time zone.
Today is our anniversary of Home and Family Ezine, which was started Dec.1, 2002. I want to thank
you all for staying with us for so long and hope you have found something useful throughout the years.
Merry Christmas!
Angela

December To Do List
____ December 1 Reduce snow, rain and dirt from being tracked through
your house. Put absorbent floor mats at each of your home's entryways. Either have everyone wipe their feet well on the way
in or have them take off their shoes and leave them on the mat.
____ December 2 Add some winter necessities
to the trunk of your car, such as an ice scraper, a small shovel and jumper cables.
____ December 3 Finish up
any Christmas Shopping. Seriously. You'll be happy you're done.
____ December 4 Have a game night with family
and/or friends. Games like Bunko, Scattergories and Charades, along with some snacks, all make for a fun evening.
____
December 5 Make a list of anything you have to do in preparation for Christmas, Hanukah or Kwanzaa.
____ December
6 If you use it, buy sidewalk salt now--and buy enough to last you the winter.
____ December 7 Send a CD
backup of your treasured photos to another family member or store them in a safety deposit box at a bank. If you only have
printed photos, you can take a photo of the prints or scan them to get them on CDs. In the event you ever lose your originals,
you'll still have access to the duplicates.
____ December 8 Start thinking about your goals and/or resolutions
for 2006. Write each of them on an index card. Then sort the cards in order of priority. Tie a ribbon around the cards and
store them away until January 1st. Then, start working on each of them one by one.

Why spend time and energy creating a filing system, when it's already done and waiting for you to use right now? Check
out the fileWISE® instant filing system.

____ December 9 What's lurking under your bed? Clean out any clutter. Then, make use of that space with an
under bed storage container to store anything flat.
____ December 10 If you haven't already, wrap and label
any holiday gifts.
____ December 11 Clean out the cabinets under your bathroom sink. Discard anything you haven't
used in months. Organize the remainder into baskets or on a Lazy Susan.
____ December 12 Do something healthy
for yourself, such as increasing your vegetable intake, joining a gym, or going for an eye examination.
____ December
13 Re-read a book you enjoyed a long time ago to recapture those good memories.
____ December 14 Consider
updating your computer equipment if it is very outdated. It's not a good use of time to use equipment that is very slow or
causes you problems every time you use it.
____ December 15 The countdown begins. It's exactly 10 days before
Christmas. Tie up any final loose ends and spend the rest of the month enjoying the season.
____ December 16
Assemble any toys for the kids ahead of time.

Keeping on top of everything going on in your life is easy, when you have the Get Organized Now! Easy Organizer. Now available in both print and digital PDF format.

____ December 17 Do any minor paint touch-ups as needed around the house.
____ December 18 Clean
out and defrost all of your refrigerators--your main one, and any additional ones you may have in the basement or other areas.
____
December 19 Catch up on your filing. Start off the new year with an empty To Be Filed tray. File each day, and you'll
never end up with a pile to file again.
____ December 20 Do an outdoor winter activity such as sledding or ice
skating.
____ December 21 Have a holiday celebration with some of your friends. Go out for dinner, or simply
for hot chocolate or coffee if you're on a tighter budget this year.
____ December 22 Stock your house for New
Year's. Perhaps you'll get noisemakers for the kids and some festive decorations to ring in the new year.
____ December
23 Get in the car with your loved ones and check out all of the neighborhood holiday decorations.

____ December 24 Put cookies and milk out for Santa, and don't forget something for his reindeer.
____
December 25 Have a wonderful Christmas with your loved ones. Do something fun together such as playing a board game, singing
holiday songs or looking through old photo albums.
____ December 26 Relax! This is the day to do absolutely
nothing.
____ December 27 Write out any thank you cards for special gifts you received, and mail them out.
____
December 28 Launder and iron the holiday linens and put them away for next year.
____ December 29 Have your
kids write thank you letters to Santa. Tuck them away in their memory books for years to come.
____ December 30
Return any gifts you received that don't quite work for you and your family. Exchange them or get store credits for when you
need something.
